THE PPA INDEPENDENT PUBLISHER CONFERENCE & AWARDS RETURNED IN PERSON FOR 2021

After 18 months of being kept apart, this event brought together a community that has always thrived on cultivating close connections. Independent publishers in the UK contribute a significant level of dynamic creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to the wider sector, and there’s never been a better time to shine.

This event was held on November 26, and reverted to our familiar model of a half-day conference in the morning and the awards ceremony in the afternoon.

But we didn't stop there. Times have changed and so have the requirements of our audience, so along with the in-person event, we offered complementary digital conference content, which took place in the lead up to the face-to-face event. The awards were not filmed or streamed live this year but the full list of winners, judges comments and photos from the evening are available on this website.

It was fantastic to see everyone back in the same room together; it really was a full-day celebration of the cumulative power of collaboration, hard work, resilience and innovation of the independent publishing sector.
